Already in clinical evaluation
Apsynora has initiated a prospective randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study evaluating whether HT-101 can improve tolerability during GLP-1 receptor agonist treatment.
Development Pipeline
Intellectual Property
Concept is supported by an international intellectual property strategy covering the use of HT-101 and related compounds to reduce gastrointestinal adverse effects associated with GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy. Patent applications PCT/EP2025/080385 and United Kingdom Patent Application No. 2415508.7 have been filed and are currently under active prosecution.
Strategic Roadmap
As GLP-1 receptor agonist use continues to expand, improving treatment tolerability may become increasingly important for patients, physicians, and pharmaceutical companies. Gastrointestinal side effects are reported in approximately 50–60% of patients, with around 10% unable to tolerate treatment at all. Apsynora is advancing HT-101 as a potential approach to reducing these adverse effects and supporting treatment adherence and patient experience, while strengthening its IP portfolio and pursuing strategic partnerships for future development and commercialisation.
